My research is stimulated by the fascination for the collective many-body behavior of quantum particles and aims to uncover both fundamental physical phenomena and potential practical applications.
As a group leader in the department for quantum many-body theory at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research I focus on quantum transport in novel quantum materials. I'm particularly intrigued by the interdisciplinary importance of fractionalized states of matter which are of relevance both for quantum information theory and for strongly correlated electron systems. |
